Hydrotherapy and other simple treatments have been demonstrated to hasten healing and save lives in the past. This seminar will include discussions of the qualities of water and other materials that make them useful for treatments that can be done at home to combat injuries and diseases. Demonstrations and explanations will show how to do these treatments skillfully and effectively. | Reuben Lorenson was born in Canada. He attended Canadian Union College, Walla Walla College, and Loma Linda University, where he obtained a BS in physical therapy, MS in health education, MPH in health education, DrPH in preventive care, CHES, and CNS. He feels privileged to have served with his family in India, Jordan, Tanzania, the United States, and Canada teaching, doing health education, researching, and directing healthful lifestyle programs. Lorenson is now associate professor of health science emeritus at Canadian University College. He has four sons and eight grandchildren, but sadly was widowed from his wife Marilyn after 49 happy years. He enjoys singing, playing instrumental music, photography, outdoor activities like hiking and canoeing, and playing ice hockey, soccer, and volleyball. |
