John writes his Gospel so that we may come to believe in Jesus (John 20:30-31). He proposes that there are two levels of reality: the level that meets the eye and the level of belief. The second may only be accessed through believing in Jesus Christ. Therefore, even though the reality that we see and hear with our physical eyes and ears may not be too encouraging, the reality that we perceive when we believe in Jesus Christ takes over our life. This week we will be doing an in-depth study of the Gospel of John along with the booklet "John: God Became Flesh" by Elizabeth Talbot. Join us and rejoice in the reality that Jesus has accomplished on our behalf!
