Oakland-Elmhurst church Pastor Willie Johnson, Jr., gave his life to Christ in 1987, and accepted the call to ministry in 1991. In 1993 he graduated from Southwestern Adventist College with a bachelor’s degree in theology. His pastoral ministry began with only a stipend and 100 Amazing Facts Bible studies. He went door to door and, as a result, planted two churches in Oklahoma. Ordained to the gospel ministry in 1999, Johnson has served as a pastor in the Southwest Region Conference, the Oklahoma Conference and, for the last six years, the Oakland-Elmhurst church. Passionate about winning souls for Christ, he has conducted numerous seminars and has trained lay leaders and church members to conduct seminars. Johnson and his wife, Bernadette, have been married for almost 33 years, and they have three adult children and four (soon to be five) grandchildren.
