Ministry Needs
Here is a list of various needs that we have to further expand or improve our facility/equipment for work in ministry:
- Backhoe - A backhoe is badly needed for trenching (electrical and plumbin), leveling, snow management, installing gates, posts, property mainenance and forklifting loads.
- Cameras - We are in need of several more cameras to be able to record and produce more material during large events.
- Zoom controllers - we are in need of more zoom controllers for precise zoom control of the cameras.
- Production truck needs upgrades in many area:
- Enclosed building - our beautiful new production truck really needs a building to be stored in properly. The weather here in Idaho is harsh on paint, rubber and plastic and is aging the truck prematurely.
- Tires - Our new production truck needs new tires. This was the one thing it really needed when we purchased it.
- Flat panel TV's and mounts - We need more/better monitors/TV's to improve production quality. We are currently making due with small home style monitors.
- AC/Heating - Need new integrated heating/AC roof mount unit for better climate control and so broadcast/recording equipment won't everheat.
- Chairs - Our chairs on the truck are old garbage people have thrown away.
- Exhaust - needs replacement.
- Our new wood heat building is about 75% done - It is still in need of one more steel siding panel, and it also desperately needs a new stainless chimney and proper chimney mounts. We've used indoor stove pipe in an outdoor capacity for years and it's completely rusted out and falling over (It's currently held in place by bailing wires but it's already collapsed once.)
- Larger AC unit for office. The office is constantly prone to overheating due to inadequate air conditioning. When the systems get to hot they overheat and this results in loss of serious work hours at times when render and other jobs have to be restarted.
- Computer Monitors - We need several new computer monitors for the office. Several of them have green lines in them or other issues that impede production.
- Computers - multiple computers in our office have outlived their useful lives and need upgrades badly.
- Larger/faster hard drives are needed for multiple systems (some of our hard drives are approaching over 8 years of CONTINUOUS USE and are in serious need of replacement).
- Up to date computer cases - We need cases with better airflow to reduce cooling issues and hard drive failuers.
- Editing software - Most of our software is several revisions outdated.
- Offices and studios building:
- We already have 2 acres of property but just need funds to pay down the mortgage and start building a complete media center and offices.
- Camera Operator needs:
- Headsets - We don't have enough and some are worn out/broken. Our camera operators would really appreciate this.
- Folding Directors Chairs - We need some very tall comfortable folding director's chairs for our camera operators. Many times they just have to stand for hours while donating their time.
- Automated Blu-ray publisher. Blu-ray's are making up a larger and larger portion of sales and automated machines help keep our overhead costs down and man hours.
- Internet Server upgrades - Software updates are needed. These needs get very expensive, very quickly.
- HD-SDI cables - We are in need of more cable.
- Water improvements - Our well water contains both rust and sulphur and we are in need of water treatment equipment and to build a small (heated in winter) building to house them in.
- Large Shed/Maintenance building - We need a second shed/building with a concrete floor for grounds equipment and tools/maintenance out of the weather.
- Home/Office renovation - Several areas of our facility were under renovation when we purchased them and we need to complete them.
- Kitchen needs complete renovation and new cabinets (this project is in progress)
- Our personal vehicles are used primarily for the ministry (probably better than 90% of the time) and they are in need of some maintenance/repair issues. We do all our own auto work so donations for this purpose go almost completely to the parts needed for the job not labor or shop costs.
- UPS (Uninterruptable Power Supply) - We need several more UPS's to protect our computers and office equipment from frequent lightning storms in our area. We've lost work on multiple occasions and even equipment due to power surges.
